Product Engineer

We’re a funded, stealth startup modernizing overlooked assets within the hospitality industry.

We’re putting together a distributed, low-headcount, founding product team. This team will work directly with and report to our CTO and product leadership to transform high-level product direction into compelling user experiences.

What You’ll Do

1. Build our user-facing product from the ground up, owning the entire front-end experience
2. Translate product vision into detailed user flows, wireframes, and implementation plans
3. Design and implement intuitive UIs that make complex hospitality workflows simple and delightful
4. Collaborate closely with backend engineers to define APIs that serve great user experiences
5. Own the user experience from initial mockups through production deployment and iteration
6. Research and validate product decisions through user feedback and data analysis
7. Prototype rapidly to test product hypotheses and gather stakeholder feedback

What We’re Looking For

Technical Skills

• 4+ years of front-end development experience with modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, or similar)
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise with deep understanding of web fundamentals
• UI/UX sensibilities with experience building responsive, accessible interfaces
• State management experience with both client and server-side state management tools
• Testing and quality assurance experience with modern headless testing frameworks
• Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch) and design systems

Product & Strategy Skills

• Product thinking - you can break down high-level goals into actionable user stories and features
• User empathy - you understand how to research user needs and validate product decisions
• Systems design - you think about scalable front-end architectures and component libraries
• Data-driven approach - you use analytics and user feedback to inform product decisions
• Cross-functional collaboration - you work effectively with designers, PMs, and backend engineers

Working Style

• Founding team mentality - you thrive in ambiguous environments and can wear multiple hats
• Ownership mindset - you take end-to-end responsibility for user-facing features

Helpful to have

• Experience in hospitality, travel, or B2B SaaS products
• Basic design skills and experience with design handoff processes
• Mobile development experience (React Native, Flutter, or native)
• Previous startup experience, especially in product and product engineering roles
• Full-stack capabilities with backend technologies
• Experience with modern deployment and CI/CD pipelines

Our Tech Stack (Front-end Focus)

Still tbd, but we’re building with modern, proven technologies:

• Frontend: TypeScript/Javascript
• Backend: (Likely) Gin/Go, PostgreSQL
• Deployment: GitOps, IaC, CI/CD, etc.

• We prefer full-time work arrangements, but can be flexible for the right candidates.
